The Cumberland County Veterans Parade Committee is proud to announce that this year’s Grand Marshals will be Korean War Veterans from Cumberland County.

In a special tribute to the service and sacrifice of those who answered the call during the Korean War (1950–1953), the Committee has chosen to honor this generation of Veterans by having them lead the parade as Grand Marshals.

The annual Cumberland County Veterans Parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Crossville (rain or shine). This year’s parade will shine a spotlight on our local Korean War Veterans and give the community an opportunity to thank them for their service.

The Committee is currently seeking Korean War Veterans who live in Cumberland County and would like to participate in this special honor. Whether you served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, or if you know a Korean War Veteran in our area, we want to hear from you.

Family members, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to help us locate these Veterans so they can be properly recognized and celebrated.

We look forward to honoring our Korean War Veterans and sharing their stories with the community at the 2026 Cumberland County Veterans Parade.

6^th ANNUAL VETERANS’ PARADE PLANNED

The parade committee is planning for the 6^th annual Veterans’ Parade. It will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine. The parade route is about one mile long and will start from Cumberland County High School and Martin Elementary at the intersection of Miller Avenue and Stanley Street. It ends at the intersection of Main and Livingston. In the coming months, parade flyers and lawn signs will appear throughout the county, and advertising in the media will increase.

Individuals and community organizations wishing to participate in the parade are encouraged to visit the website at Parade4Veterans.org for an application to complete online. Entry in the parade is free and the only requirement is a visible patriotic flag, banner, or sign honoring our U.S. military veterans. Display of the United States flag, Tennessee State flag, U.S. military branch flags, and U.S. veteran organization flags are encouraged.

Funding for the parade is provided entirely by private donations. The parade committee is grateful to The Lake Tansi Exchange Club in the past for pledging significant financial support to help offset the cost of advertising, logistics, and insurance. Donations by civic organizations are welcome and can be sent to the Veterans Parade Committee at 2 N. Main Street, Suite 202, Crossville, TN 38555.

The parade has been very popular with the community and is supported by the Crossville City Council, the Crossville Police Department, Fire Department, and Cumberland County Schools. Community members and veterans of all military branches and their families typically line the streets. It is a great morale boost for our veterans to know they are appreciated and who often carry scars, both physical and internal, from the sacrifices they made for our nation.

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, our community will once again come together to proudly honor the men and women who have served our nation. We can’t wait to fill the streets with marching units, colorful floats, Veterans’ organizations, bands, and patriotic displays — and we want you to be part of it.

This year brings some exciting changes: We have a new Chairman leading the committee, and we’ve carefully updated all of our guidelines and rules. Please take a few minutes to review them before submitting your application.

Our online application is simple and mobile-friendly. As the parade date approaches, we’ll keep the website updated with staging maps, directions, participant lists, and all the details you’ll need.

Whether you participated last year or this will be your first time, we warmly invite you to join us in this meaningful celebration. Please help us spread the word to your fellow Veterans, friends, businesses, schools, and community organizations — the bigger the parade, the stronger the message of gratitude.
